What We Do

In the loving care of Cafirlin + Friends, Lifestyle Curation involves helping you create a home that has a happy balance of gracious, inspired, abundant, sustainable living. And in the course of doing so, I hope to help you gain more freedom, pride and confidence in your own unique way of being.

I believe our current culture makes homemaking seem complex and scary. I will help you develop whatever skills of cooking, entertaining, and homemaking that allow you to be the host you want to be. 

I believe that filling a home with beautiful, thoughtfully made things that will last beyond us, things that tell important stories is a contribution to human culture in a world that presents a false dichotomy between ostentation and restraint. 

I strongly believe that while there is no one right way to live, there are universal patterns across cultures that feed the human soul. My own deepest values have to do with personal freedom, autonomy, creativity, the equal value of all humanity, and generosity. 

A life thoughtfully lived and shared is a great contribution to make to the world. 

I will introduce you to my Friends – people from a wide variety of disciplines who will help you develop and nurture yourself and those you want to include in ways that are important to you. We have found that a whole other level of feeling truly at home and in the world arises when these practices come to you.

I believe that the best things are enriched by the wear of real use and last for generations in real, lived-in homes. Beyond helping you realize your own style and taste, I will ensure your home is set up for the life you and yours will live in it. 

There will be lights where you want to read and dimmers and bulbs are chosen carefully to enhance your environment. Tables where you need to put things down. Seats where you want to sit, beautifully arranged in ways that encourage conversation where you want to socialize but provide comfy solitude where you need that instead. 

Storage where you and your guests need it. Modern electrical outlets are ready for your gadgets where you need them. Automation and security systems that make it easier to access, protect and manage your home but don’t make you feel like a systems administrator. A/V that works with how you want to experience media. 

A kitchen, linen closet, bathrooms, and utility rooms stocked with what you need in the quality and quantity appropriate to your household. A routine of cleaning, cooking, and daily habits that keep it effortlessly organized and ready.

Cafirlin + Friends can help you make your house a home, your events legendary, and your legacy one for generations to come.
